Well, nine days later... we finally heard on the house and we got it! We were really surprised because we were one of five offers on the house! On Monday, the bank asked everyone to put their 'highest and best' offers on the table- and I guess ours was the best!

Now, we're trying not to get too excited because the inspection is on Saturday. In the vain of getting too excited, let's all remember that this house is only 10 years old, so hopefully that bodes well for not too much wrong!

We really, really like this house... so please continue to pray for financial wisdom for us, that our emotions wouldn't control our decions (ie- us overlooking lots of stuff at the inspection because we just like it so much), and that everything at the inspection would go great!!

If everything at the inspection goes well, then y'all get more pictures! Until then, you can refer to the previous post and imagine the inside! :)

Also, stay tuned for some video of Avery speaking Italian... oh yeah... can't miss it!

Well, we've jumped back into the house hunt and found another one that we liked. This one is nicer, cheaper, newer, and further from Jeff's school. But, we like the price tag and the fact that- as far as we know so far- there's not nearly as much to do on this house. This one is also bank-owned, so we're back in for the roller coaster of dealing with a bank. Wish us luck! (in case you were wondering, the driveway is not nearly as long as it looks!)
Well, this house is officially no longer. The bank offered us $0 so it will be back on the market shortly. We just can't afford to get into a house for that much money and repairs, so there ya have it. It's pretty sad because this is one of the only houses in our price range in Highlands Ranch (the nicest, most affordable area near Jeff's school). So, in deciding to walk away, we're deciding that Jeff will probably be driving much farther to school. We also might need to find a new preschool for Avery. Bummer.

Also, its snowing today. It's April 26 and its snowing. Its not sticking, but still, white flakes falling from the sky. Yuck.
Scene: Chik-Fil-A drive-thru, radio on in the car

Mom: I like this song

Avery: I don't like this song (frown)

Mom thinks to herself: I'll be she doesn't like it because its not fast

Mom speaks: Oh, well the lady has a pretty voice. It will get faster in a minute.

Avery: Oh... is it rockin' yet? It's not rockin' yet. When's it gonna be rockin'?

Yup, she's daddy's little girl.
Well, the house inspection didn't go awesome. There were several things (roof damage, radon, siding repairs, driveway repairs) that would add up to quite a bit of money that we don't have. So, unless the bank that owns the home is going to give us some money, I think we might walk away. :( Seems like banks- even though they don't really want to own homes- aren't very willing to fix stuff or give us money to do so. We'll see! Keep ya updatedd....
Oh Sarah! I've been tagged my Mrs. Livengood in a get-to-know-you survey. So, here I go!

What were you doing ten years ago?
I was getting ready to finally graduate from college and was looking for my dream job of being an assistant college softball coach. Unfortunately, I had zero experience and not a stellar career, so people weren't jumping at the chance to hire me. Fortunately, God was in charge and knew what I needed better than me. He knew I needed to get out of debt (by teaching?) so I could take the best job four years later. I was also getting ready for a staff internship with GCM at LT- where I learned I really didn't want to go on staff! Where I also decided to stay in Muncie (yikes) where I eventually fell in love and married Jeff! Phew- what a decision packed summer! God is faithful!
